What is T.38 ?
=> T.38 is an ITU standard for transmission of fax over IP networks.
Why should I use T.38 ?
=> T.38 offers a better reliability of fax transmission over IP networks, as it is more resilient to packet loss than G.711 faxing. Furthermore, T.38 generally uses less bandwidth (as most fax modems operate at 14.4 kbps). T.38 is an increasingly supported standard in the industry.
Is T.38 supported in all countries ?
=> At the moment, T.38 is not yet available in all countries. We are working on increasing our T.38 coverage.

Do you charge for T.38 ?
=> No, Voxbone offers T.38 free of charge.
How long does it take to have T.38 enabled ?
=> As a general rule, it takes up to one hour to have T.38 enabled on your DID(s).
How do I enable/disable T.38 on my DID(s) ?
=> You can activate/deactivate T.38 on a number by number basis via your account: menu 'Configure-->Numbers'. You can also apply a default configuration for all newly purchased numbers via the menu 'Configure-->Defaults'.
