SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Voxbone, the Communications as a Service (CaaS) provider powering global businesses with voice and messaging services on demand and via API, has strengthened its mission to support growing enterprises by hiring Matthew Brown as its new VP of Product. With extensive experience in developing and deploying tools to help companies succeed, Brown will oversee Voxbone’s range of cloud-based communications services, ones that allow businesses to easily establish a local presence and effectively reach new markets across more than 60 countries.

Brown has spent the majority of his career at the nexus of telecommunications and FinTech, having most recently led product development for Payfone, a leading digital identity and authentication platform trusted by the world’s largest banks, healthcare providers, and technology companies. Prior to Payfone, Brown co-founded multiple startups, including Tengo, Inc., an international mobile payments platform based in Palo Alto. In February 2018, Brown was issued his third patent in the telecommunications space, the latest pertaining to his work on digital identity authentication.

Voxbone opens the door for businesses to use a flexible and more scalable alternative to traditional telephony, one that eliminates the complicated regulatory, compatibility and procedural hurdles that go along with global growth. In addition to its CaaS offering and zero-rate calling between customers within its network, Voxbone also provides enterprises with automated tools for built-in recording and AI-driven speech analytics. The mission to make mind-numbingly complex systems “strangely simple” for its users is exactly why Voxbone has selected Brown to develop and deliver Voxbone’s business-focused products.

“From Speech Analytics to zero-rate calls within its network, Voxbone has signaled that it’s serious about serving enterprises with the best that API-based communications have to offer,” said Brown. “We’re changing the game with our strangely simple approach to communications. Our mission is to make it easy for growing businesses around the world to engage with their customers, and I’m delighted to be part of the incredible team that’s making it happen.”

“We have an exciting roadmap planned out, and Matt with his proven track record in comms innovation is absolutely crucial to its successful execution,” said Voxbone CEO Itay Rosenfeld. “He shares our vision for communications solutions that scale globally on demand and provide an alternative to the fragmented global carrier landscape holding back so many businesses today. We are ideally positioned to deliver on this promise and I’m thrilled to have Matt on the team to pave the way for simpler, more effective business communications.”
